Employment opportunities in our sewing centre

The sewing centre provides a place to train and employ girls from the SHE Rescue Home, as well as members of the local community.

Girls are able to be employed at the SHE Sewing Centre from 15 years of age and start working 5 days a week under experienced sewing staff.

Opportunities we provide

Local woman who are accomplished sewers provide ongoing training and oversee all work ensuring it is of the highest quality.

As part of a regular day in the sewing centre orders are scheduled to be cut, sewn, labelled, pressed, quality controlled and packaged ready to be shipped to clients, businesses, conferences and churches all over the world. Most afternoons there is also time set aside for specific training on each area of the manufacturing process so that everyone is multi-skilled across all facets of production.

The staff also enjoy a cooked lunch together that is provided by the sewing centre and they are paid a fair and liveable wage for the 8 hours a day that they work.
