You Built A Home & Changed A Family

*Yara, a young girl, arrived into our care after experiencing sexual exploitation in her own community. At the time of her exploitation her two younger sisters, herself, and her father were living in a dilapidated home that had collapsed and had no proper walls remaining. This proved to be a massive threat to Yara and her sisters safety and very devastatingly ended in the exploitation she experienced.

Unfortunately, this is an all too common occurrence. Oftentimes exploitation and trafficking are tragic results to situations that have simple fixes such as proper shelter, vocational training, or basic education; necessities many of us don’t see as the luxuries they are in many regions and communities throughout the world.

We love that the stories we exist to write do not often end here, however, and we’re so thankful to share that due to the generosity of our supporters (like you!) *Yara and her family were provided a home.

This new home not only meant that her younger sisters were provided safety to prevent exploitation from ever occurring, but also paved way for *Yara to be safely reintegrated with her family - our goal for every survivor!

This is such a clear picture of what it means to come together; to stand side by side, each doing a little, to change a lot.

The generosity of our supporters changed a life, reunited a family, prevented further exploitation, and brought hope to a family that felt hopeless. We love this story, and we love writing stories of hope together.

Thank you for joining our journey.
